Outside Blinds come in various styles and functions, relative to your needs. The pictured blinds are called Auto awnings mainly due to not having cords. They stand away from the wall at a certain distance, mostly 350mm from the surface but can be closer or further away.

We are not interested in building you a verandah; we simply want to help you to shade the sun from your windows and entertainment areas. The different styles include the use of either rope operation or spring operation. Whereas the pictured blinds travel along a guide bar, you can also pivot them from a central point. The blinds pictured have a hood to protect from the elements however this is not essential. You can also have areas built in between posts which make use of patio blinds, which can be seen in more detail on the patio blinds page.

Fabrics offer choices of transparency
The pictured fabric is a sunscreen which, as can be seen allows for filtered light and a view of the other side. There are also lightweight translucent draylon fabrics and heavier cotton/polyester block out fabrics. They are available in a range of colours and patterns from striped (which were more popular in earlier times) and of course, plain colours which seem to be a popular choice today.
